Untitled autograph manuscript in an unidentified hand with blue pencilled corrections and annotations in a second hand describing the activities of the San Francisco Committee of Vigilance of 1851. A sheet of paper attached to the first page contains a contents list in the editor's hand: "The Days of Fifty One; The Hanging of John Jenkins by the Vigilantes; The Organization of the "Thugs" of San Francisco; and How They Lived and How They Preyed on the Community." The author was possibly J. P. Clough whose name is crossed out by the editor on the top of the first page. The manuscript was written on the verso of blank printed forms bearing the year 186-.
